Keep up the hard work. When you get back  I think it would be good to try
and correct one or two essays together.

4 It has been said, "Not everything that is learned is contained in books." Compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with knowledge gained from books. In your opinion, which source is more important? Why?

Knowledge can be gained from different sources. (… = you can’t just put … in the middle of a sentence.  It is better to end the sentence and make the next one a full sentence)Some of these sources could include experience, teaching from schools or books. In my opinion, learning from books or from experiences(,they – not needed) are both important. Learning from books allow us to gain knowledge in  (a) short time with little price, (while)learning from experience allow us to practice what we learn in real life. By reading(,) we enrich the mind; by conversation we polish it.

Knowledge is just useless(,not needed) if we can’t use it or live it out in real live. Knowledge comes, but wisdom lingers. When we talk about wisdom, it always come from real life experience, that’s why we always (say): “ Traveling thousands of miles is better than reading thousands of books.”

I like to (reading = read). It’s easy for me (to get – a better word would be ‘to understand’) many smart people’s idea(s) or (the)result of research (by = of) books. I can also (know = absorb) all kinds of different professional knowledge by way of reading. Books are silent teachers for me. Knowledge is important to me, only when I can use it or practice (it). If I don’t know how to use my knowledge from books, it’s not (mine actually = actually mine).

Although there are different ways of learning, it doesn’t mean that learning itself is easy. There is no (royal road = what do you mean here?) to learning. By books or by experience, we need to work hard and open our minds, so that we can really learn something.
