13 Some people prefer to eat at food stands or restaurants. Other people prefer to prepare and eat food at home. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Preparing food at home takes a lot of time and energy , so many people don’t enjoy it very much (while = especially when) they have (other = the) choice to eat (outside = out). (with convenience and time saving. = remove this part) But, I still prefer (to cook = cooking) at home even if I have to wash the dishes which takes double the time after cooking. I believe that eating is not only a regular routine for everyday but also one of the important ways to enjoy (live= life). In Chinese culture, different food can represent different meanings, and sharing food together means a lot to Chinese. We share food and love by preparing food together and enjoy meals after. It’s a good opportunity for everyone in the family to work together, talking to each other and building up the relationships between families. Cooking is not mom’s business only. It’s also a good chance for children to see and learn how to cook and why we should cherish food by observing and helping.
Another reason (of = for) my choice to eat at home is cooking itself. Cooking is an art for me. I am an artist while I am cooking, and it’s so much fun. (Use = Using) various ingredients and seasonings and mixing them together, I can create all kinds of different delicious dishes. Sometimes I can even create my own recipe. It’s very interesting to try different kinds of meals by (try = trial) and error, and I enjoy the pleasure of cooking very much.
It can’t be denied that eating (outside = out) is much more convenient. I would choose to eat (outside = out) myself on some special occasions, too.
