Many university or college students choose not to go to classes, and they believe they can still learn something at the same time. They may spend too much time on their part time jobs, students clubs or making friends. Even though there are no strict rules about attending classes or not, I believe going to classes benefits students more in two reasons: organized knowledge and cooperation.
The reason why we choose to go to university(is) not only for getting
(you could use attain instead of getting) knowledge but also for thinking and question solving abilities. Only textbooks are not enough, students need help to organize the information we get. It is very important to be in classes and professors can help students get the messages behind the information and between (the)lines. Students can discuss with classmates and work with groups to find a different point of view. Without any help, students (are easy to = can easily) get lost in the textbooks, but attending classes can help to get directions.
Working with students groups is also an important part of learning. Students can learn a lot about how to cooperate with others who have different opinions. Students can always get many chances to work with people with (varies = a variety) of personality on their group assignments. Things like how to work with a team or how to lead and how to assign jobs to other team players could be quite a challenge.
It is the most interesting part to have interaction between students and professors by attending classes. Most of the professors are experienced (on = in) their (pacific = specific) academic subjects and they can always help students a lot on their study, which can really save a lot of time.
